Project Argo (Unannounced VR Game) - Environment Concepts

Project Argo was an unannounced R&D project where the player was a large human-sized creature in-game, but also controlled a smaller character and they helped each other progress and move through the level, similar to the VR game Moss.

I worked on concepts for a few different environment directions, including the player progressing by climbing a giant tower up into the clouds, deep carved out mines full of ore, and finally an underground cave system of fungi and ruins, with tiny villages and worlds built into them.

These were part of the "deep carved out mines of ore" phase of the project, trying out different ideas for what rooms and structures could look like, with doorways and pillars carved directly out of the existing rock.

Just a few of several architecture concept sheets I created early on to see what the inhabitants' building structures might look like. The bottom right example combines pieces from the other concept sheets, to show how a kit like this could fit together.
